Meeting with the president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met, May 17, President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina-Viner Usmanova.

Based on President Ilham Aliyev’s resolution, Irina Aleksandrovna Viner-Usmanova was conferred on the Friendship Order, for her services to the strengthening of relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in the field of sports. The Head of the State presented the order to Irina Viner-Usmanova.

President Ilham Aliyev congratulated President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina-Viner Usmanova for her decoration with the Friendship Order, one of the high awards of Azerbaijan, specially emphasizing her role in the development of sports and friendly relations between the two countries. President Ilham Aliyev thanked Irina Viner-Usmanova for her great contribution to the establishment of the school of gymnastics in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev, underscoring that Irina Viner-Usmanova had enjoyed great influence not only in Azerbaijan, but also on the world’s sports arena, noting that it was due to her endeavours that Russian gymnasts have long years shown high results in international competitions. The President wished new successes to Irina Viner-Usmanova in her future activities.

Thanking for nice words, Irina Viner-Usmanova said she had been feeling a great satisfaction with the attention shown towards her by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. She highly appreciated Mehriban Aliyeva’s special role in laying the foundation of the rhythmic gymnastics in Azerbaijan. Irina Viner-Usmanova, talking about the care shown towards the rhythmic gymnastics in Azerbaijan, mentioned that a magnificent rhythmic gymnastics arena has been constructed in Baku. Expressing her delight in this visit to Azerbaijan, Irina Viner-Usmanova underscored that each time she visits Azerbaijan, she witnesses great development processes, and new architectural examples.
