Inauguration of the building of the Health Ministry's Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research Institute takes place after basic repair

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva attended, March 1, the opening of the Health Ministry’s Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research Institute’s building after basic repair in Baku.

Health minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president of the works done.

It was noted that the repair and reconstruction works that started at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research Institute in 2013 have been performed to meet the highest standards. With the total area of about one hectare, the institute’s surrounding area has been vastly improved and greenery planting works performed there. The main building accommodates a reception, outpatient-diagnostics, pregnancy failure and gynaecology departments, each of them having 20 beds. And the institute’s obstetrics department has been provided with 16 beds, in total. The anaesthesiology-resuscitation and intensive therapy department has 10 beds and has been provided with necessary equipment. The early births department has 10 beds, whereas the new-borns resuscitation and intensive therapy department has been equipped with 15 beds. Ray diagnostics department, a laboratory and an operation block built to modern standards have been created at this medical establishment. All the rooms of the medical institution have been provided with state-of-the-art equipment and necessary inventory.

All necessary conditions have been provided at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research Institute to provide the highest level of medical service. They once more prove that the state has been taking significant steps towards making sure that children - our future - are born healthy, and are covered by necessary medical service from the very moment of their birth. In general, development of the healthcare system, strengthening its material and technical basis has always been the focus of attention of the state in Azerbaijan. Recent years, lifting the healthcare service to the most advanced level, improvement of this area further, construction of state-of-the-art medical institutions and basic restoration of existing ones are of significant importance from this standpoint. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research Institute accommodates also a policlinic, cuisine and laundry buildings too.
